This small town covers an area around 2 x 5 kms splitted by 2 main traffic flows between airport and Nusa Dua to northern area of Kuta city and Denpasar city. The main road of the east part of Tuban the Ngurah Rai road is directly connects the southern part of Bali to the central and norhern area, while the west area is connected by Dewi Sartika and Kartika Plaza streets which is the main road in the area connects the town to central Kuta city and airport. On the right side of Kartika Plaza street are various hotels from 3 star hotels to deluxe 5 star hotels in Tuban which are directly joining to the beach. While on the left side of the road are mostly small hotel, non star hotels, restaurants of various cuisines, recreations and various shops. Tuban town physically look only one city including Kuta as there is no clear separator between the two towns. TUBAN TOWN THE CLOSEST AREA TO AIRPORT

Tuban town is the closest town to international airport of Ngurah Rai, and the airport itself is located on the administrative area of Desa Tuban, at the border of Tuban and Jimbaran. Some hotels such as Bali Prani, Holiday Inn and Patra Bali are located very close to the airport, around 3 kms away from the parking area. In the past Tuban was also under the administration of Desa Kuta before it was splitted into independent Desa. Today with the restructuring of the bigger administration area of Kecamatan Kuta, Tuban is included within Kecamatan of Central Kuta or simple known as Kecamatan Kuta, while Jimbaran has been included into the administration of Kecamatan Kuta Selatan or South Kuta Kecamatan administration together with Nusa Dua, Tanjung Benoa, Ungasan, Pecatu and Uluwatu. Compared to the size of the area of Tuban to Kuta central, Legian, Seminyak and Krobokan, which were before under the administration of bigger Kuta before 2000, Tuban has the smallest area almost comparable with Legian, yet Tuban is probably the most densely populated area with the Jalan Dewi Sartika at the West and Jalan Ngurah Rai at the East as the main traffic flows from South Bali to Central and north Bali. Along Jalan Dewi Sartika continued to Kartika plaza are standing various big hotels from simple category to deluxe 5 star hotels such as Patra Bali, Discovery Kartika Plaza, Holiday Inn, Kuta Paradiso, and various restaurant and recreation such as Waterbom park. For group tour Tuban town is the only choice that for a bus with seat more then 25 seat can reach directly the hotel lobby.
