Day 01 Arrival in Lombok ( L )
Arrive at Seleparang airport of Mataram, greet and transfer to your hotel. PM. Depart for Mataram City Tour visiting Mayura Water Palace; Sweta, the biggest market in Lombok; Narmada and Lingsar temple which was built in 1714. Afterward return to hotel
Day 2 Mataram (BL)
Tour choice 1
After breakfast, depart for a full day tour to Southern part of Central Lombok visiting Sukarara, the weaving village; Penunjak pottery village; Rambitan Sasak village; the famous Kuta Beach and Tanjung Aan, the most beautiful part of Kuta Beach. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Senggigi area.
Tour choice 2
Breakfast at hotel. A tour to Northern Part of the island. Board on a boat to Gili Trawangan, the best place for snorkeling. Here you will find clear, shallow water where you can snorkel over colorful coral reef and see hundreds varieties of tropical fish in their natural habitat. Our next stop is the blue coral island of Gili Meno, and lastly visiting Gili Air which is also excellent for snorkeling activity. Your lunch will be provided. Afternoon drive back to hotel.
Day 3 Mataram - Departure
Breakfast at hotel, and the rest of the day free until your departure flight to airport, or by express catamaran to Bali.
Inclusion : Tours and transfers with air conditioned mini van, tour guide speak one of : English, French, German or Japanese. Entrance and donation fees at the places of visits, boat to Gilis for tour choice-2. Meals as indicated on itinerary B for breakfast, L for lunch. Accommodation according to the package choice 1 is Holiday Inn, Senggigi area, and for Package choice 2 is Jayakarta Lombok near Cakranegara area. The orignal population of Lombok is called the Sasak, this ethnic group is physically the same as the rest of Indonesian people yet their language is one of the Indonesian dialect closer to East Indonesian archipelagou. Basically the ethnographycal researches found that the people is also decendant of Malay mixed with small Mongoloid character yet more prominent their Malay character with thin blend of Monoloid character, unlike Balinese which physical aspect show strong influence of Monoloid. In term of culture the Sasak know less then variety of Balinese do, since they live in simple way in group of villages and not open for outsiders until late when Balinese kingdom controlled them. During the war between Balinese kingdom of Karangasem and Makassar, the Sasak support the Makassar with the back up of Dutch Idische Compagnie. With this modern arm owned by the V.O.C, Karangasem kingdom at last defeated, although many V.O.C. died during the war in West Lombok such as Kapiten Michel, and many of their soldiers.
