Day 01 Hotel - Senaru ( L, D )
Early breakfast at hotel. Leave hotel at 6am to Senaru village, a village located 600 meters above sea level where the start of the trekking will be. It takes 2-5 hour by car. We start trekking at 9am to base camp III located 2,100 m above sea level. The trek up to base camp III takes around 6 hours. Lunch and dinner at base camp III. The temperature is around 7 - 8 degrees Celcius. Overnight in a tent.

Day 02 Base Camp III - Segara Naka Lake ( B, L, D )
After an early breakfast, we leave base camp III at 6am the the rim of the Rinjani crater a location of 3,000 m above sea level. Arrived on the rim at 8am then we will have a magnificent view of the Rinjani peak, the lake, and the new volcano also deep down valley over sparkling white sand beach view of Gili Air, Gili Meno, and Gili Trawangan and the memo rable view of the entire island of Lombok, after spending 1 hour in on the rim we start walking down to the lake, it take 2 hours to reach the lake. Arrive on the lake is free at leisure enjoying the beauty of the lake, bathing on the hot spring water and fishing is the main activities. Overnight near the lake.

Day 03 Segara Anak lake - Senaru - Hotel ( B, L )
Early breakfast at Segara Anak lake, then leave for Senaru at 6pm, take about seven hour trekking up and down to reach back the starting point of the trekking. Arrived at Senaru village transfer to your hotel.

Mount Rinjani & Segara Anak Mount Rinjani is a strata volcano, situated exactly on the island of Lombok. It stands with 3726 meters abov e sea level, as the thrid highest active volcano in Indonesia, after Mount Kerinci in West Sumatra. A trekking to the top of Mt. Rinjani can be done from two routes. Sembalun Lawang is savanna route in which the trekking would reach the lake of Segara Anak at first before reaching the top. Mountain climber must have been aware of the risk of climbing a mountain so it is we also apply the personal risk coverage to whoever want to join the trekking of Mount Rinjani. People in Lombok, especially the Hindu consider the the mountain is the holy place for their worshiped gods, the same as in Bali Mount Agung is considered the holy mountain as the highest mountain in Bali. Both mountain in the story of Bali and Lombok were the beginning of he world and as the abode of the ancestors which can controll the life of the people. It is logical that every one would take any effort to maintain the nature of the mountain as it is the source of life such as the preservation of forest for water and irrigation.

LOMBOK ISLAND. Nothing was known about Lombok before 17th century. The Sasak the original population of Lombok seemed not to active in developing their country. The record about Lombok was started in 1677 AD when kingdom of Goa, Makassar, South Sulawesi tried to overrun Lombok. In that struggle of Sasak Chiefs, Bali strengthened his control in Lombok and in 1750 the whole island was under control of Karangasem kingdom, one of the small kingdom in East coast of Bali. By the end of 18th century one of Sasak chief invited Dutch to rule their land in return to the service that the Dutch must spell out Karangasem kingdom from Lombok. The Dutch was interested, and the first army was drop in Lombok, but was defeated by the prince with their army, The second army of Dutch drawn from Java was able to subdue the kingdom after bombarded Ampenan the center of kingdom in Lombok, and after the marched of prince and all the army and families to face the guns of Dutch army until the last drop of blood. This war was known as Puputan Lombok. Now Lombok was under the Dutch administration, and the Dutch was welcome like god as their liberator from Karangasem kingdom, and as promised by the Sasak Chiefs, the Dutch now control the island. The control of Dutch become a nightmares for the Sasaks since the heavy taxes was imposed without exception. The rice was all collected and brought to the the Dutch headquarters. This was continuing for years until what was everyone deadly did not want, it was happened -- the great famine of 1938 on. With the rule of Balinese in Lombok some cultural aspects of Bali were applied such as water irrigation system, social organization, and religion. The co-operation between the Sasak and Bali was going well inter-marriage was common. The Sasak who make-up 90% of the total population of Lombok are all Moslem, while Balinese who mostly live on West Lombok and in the city of Mataram, Ampenan, and Cakaranegara were remain Hindu. There are many interesting place belong to the Hindu kingdom in Mataran and surrounding area of the city.
