7 Days Flores Culture and Nature Exploration Flores Tours

DAY 01 : MAUMERE – ARRIVAL (D)
On arrival at Waioti Airport of Maumere at 14.30 direct drive 12 Km to eastern Maumere town (15 minutes drive) then check-in at Flores Sao Resort or SEA WORLD CLUB for meals and accommodation.

DAY 02 : MAUMERE - DETUSOKO (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive-up to Detusoko for 95 km (4 hours) with several stops at Ledalero - a major Catholic Seminary - to visit the museum with its various collection of local royal families' old portraits, antique hand woven clothes, stagedeon fossils, etc. Proceed to Sikka village - a center of "Ikat" weaving to see the traditional weaving process and an old church built in the 16th Century. Onto Wolowaru for having lunch. If weather permits, direct drive up to Kelimutu to see the three color lakes. Continue to Detusoko, on arrival check-in at Wisma St. Franciskus - a missionary Guest Houses.

DAY 03 : DETUSOKO - BAJAWA (B,L,D)
After an early morning breakfast at 5.30 drive up to Kelimutu volcano to see the three colored lakes. Upon arrival walk for 1,5 km and then ascend 127 steps to top to view Kelimutu's green, blue and black lakes. A Dutch Geologist discovered Kelimutu in 1914; at the time the lakes were red, blue and white. Descend to Moni village to view beautiful hand woven clothes and to visit Kowanara village famous for its traditional Lionese houses. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Ende. Continue drive to Bajawa with stop at Boawae - village of Nagekeo tribes to observe their tradition and culture. Proceed to Wogo - another traditional Bajawanese village through scenic road where you can enjoy beautiful panorama of the valley with sea as the background. Accommodation at HOTEL KEMBANG or ARIESTA.

DAY 04 : BAJAWA - RIUNG (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Explore traditional village of Bajawa tribes. Visit Bena - a megalithic village where people do preserve their ancestral spirits believed and way of life, which can be seen in their "Ngadhu" and "Bhaga" . Ngadu and Bhaga are conical thatched roof huts symbolized their Male and Female ancestral spirits. On the way stop on the slope of Inerie active volcano for taking pictures. Drive to North for 2 hours to Riung with stop at Soa - a natural hot spring water for taking bathing and having lunch. Continue to Riung and stay overnight at PONDOK SOVERDI.

DAY 05 : RIUNG (B,L,D)
After breakfast walk through National Park to see the activities of the Giant Lizard - Varanus Riungensis and other native surroundings. Return to the lodge for having lunch, Then take a boat trip to explore the spectacular sea garden of seventeen islands. Return to hotel.

DAY 06 : RIUNG - MAUMERE (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel. Drive back to Maumere through panoramic North Coastal road with several stops according to local happenings and for taking pictures. On arrival in Maumere direct check-in to SEA WORLD CLUB or similar for accommodation or dinner.

DAY 07 : MAUMERE - OUT (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport for your flight to next destination.
