Indonesia consist of more then 13.000 islands including
small islands that are not yet inhabited due to the nature
of the island is not favourable for life. Yet among thousand
of islands can be mentioned some of those small island have
been recorded in Indonesian state inventory. These myriads
of islands which are some groups of them making a great
view as the combination of sea clear water and the shadow
of the small islands in a distance. It is well known such
as beautiful Thousand islands north of Jakarta, The Maluku
islands, The Togean islands, and many groups of
islands on south Nusa Tenggara. Each province in Indonesia
offers a typical interest for travelers and have so far
develop sufficient facilities such as hotels, transporations,
restaurants and other supporting means. Provinces such as
North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok, and Toraja
even have been offering from simple hotels, medium category
hotels, and deluxe class hotels. Travelers will have choices
from just staying for a rest up to more comfortable travel
base. Destination such as Bali, Lombok, and Toraja which
in most cases offering cultural interest are even have more
deluxe and super deluxe class hotels which is not just for
rest from long traveling time yet also beach holidays or
just for a relaxing in a comfortable destinations. As a
vast country Indonesia offers veriety of cultures in the
sense of ethnic art, natural views and uniqueness, fauna
and flora. Ethnic tradition which is considered unique in
all their aspect of life can be mentioned such as The Batak,
the resident of North Sumatra, The Minangkabau the
resident of West Sumatra, The Javanese with it's cultural
center in Yogyakarta, Balinese, The Sasak in Lombok, the
Toraja in the north of South Sulawesi. This unique ethnic
often also completed with beautiful nature such as Lake
Toba and the Samosir island of Batak Land, the Ranau lake
in West Sumatra, Mount Bromo in Tengger, Bedugul and Kintamani
mountain craters in Bali, the land of Toraja, and the beach
of Kuta Lombok, with their Gilis. In more ancient way of
life ethnic can be found the Kubu a nomaden people on south
Sumatra, The Papuan in West Papua, and the Baduy in West
Java. The fauna kingdom of Indonesia are well known such
as the Oranguatans at Leuser natural park, north Sumatra
and Tanjung Putting national park the Komodo giant lizard
in Komodo island, and various bird in Tangkoko nature reserve
in North Sulawesi. Indonesian underwater beauty is one of
the best in the world such as the Bunaken island on North
Sulawesi, Menjangan and Tulamben in Bali, East Nusa Tenggara
are paradise of scuba diving anthusiasts. Due to the variety
of ethnic group there are great variation in the development
and mentality of each of the ethnic group. Some of these
ethnic groups are still very difficult to be encourage to
work hard for modernization. We can see still such as various
ethnic in West Papua, Kalimantan, and even in Southern part
of Sumatra island. The specific fauna such as orangutans
can only be seen in three places in the world that are in
Africa, North Sumatra, and Kalimantan of Indonesia. The
hard work of fauna oberserver and foundation who preserve
the fauna has been greatly successful in keeping the number
of the hominid more stable and avoid from the illegal capture
and trading of the animals. Big Asian tiger now still can
be seen at Bukit Barisan forest of Sumatra island, the Mount
Kerinci national park. Java island preserves the oldest
proof of missing link in the theory of human evolution such
as the finding of Pithecanthropus Erectus in Sangiran, Ngandong,
and Wajak Village of Central Java. Visiting Indonesia is
a great place of diversity in nature and culture.
