In Bali available many types and numbers of accommodations provided in the form of hotels, villas, apartments and various local types bungalows and cottages and guest houses. Accommodation centers of development in Bali are at many places such as Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Krobokan, Jibmaran, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Ubud, Tanah Lot, Bedugul, Candidasa, Padangbai, Amed, Tulamben and Lovina. These main areas of resort developments have been well known since 1980s while some hotels have been built at some places scattered over the island such as Tirta Gangga, Munduk, Kintamani, Air Sanir, and Pemuteran area, yet these areas have not been developing more intensive compared to above mentioned destinations. From the beginning each area has own specific travelers interest. For example, Kuta is known as the favorite hotel for Australian, Sanur for American and European, Nusa Dua for high class travelers and others. Hotels outside Kuta, Sanur and Nusa Dua are for mixed travelers that are more interested to observe culture and nature. Ubud for example is more popular among learnt travelers or those who are interested in art and business. The famous name of Ubud comes from the livelihood of arts such as wood carving, painting, dance and music, and lately handicraft, gold and silver smith. Until 1980s Ubud was a real Balinese traditional villages with deep nuances of rural peaceful country with vibrant religious rituals. Art Galleries souvenir shops were started to be built in all villages around Ubud such as Mas, Padang Tegal, Kedewatan, Tegalalang, Nyuh Kuning, Tengkulak and many others. The arising number of art shops changed the face of Ubud and its surrounding and Ubud itself appear to be small and sparkling town offering various travel services including hotels, restaurants garments, modern goods and recreation services. The road such as jalan Monkey Forest is just like Kuta's busy Jalan Pantai, and art shops spreaded at all corners of the town. Although the area of Ubud is much wider then Kuta, it looks start to crowded and less breathing space. Ubud is the town and destination with the biggest number of guest houses spreaded over various places after Kuta and Legian. While other areas guest houses can be found in the places such as Padangbai port, Tirta Gangga and Bedugul destination.
