Publication conerning various aspect of Bali has been developping since the
beginning of Indonesian independence in the form of daily news. First was a daily news published in
Singaraja, the capital city of Nusa Tenggara until around 1950s, and when Bali was constitutionally
an independence provice, the center of administration and trade moved to south Bali at the city of
Denpasar which is now the biggest city in Bali, and one of the biggest city in East Indonesia.
Today the most favorite daily news about Bali is the Bali Post in Bahasa Indonesia,
the biggest subscriptions until today
from the people on the island of Bali and beyond. The second one is the Harian Nusa Tenggara or the
Nusa Tenggara daily news also in Bahasa Indonesia, the third one is the Bali Business News owned by Bali Post Daily news.
Other form of publication on Bali are various such as specific on Tourism which are mostly published in English, combined with advertisements
and others. Aside from printed news there are also televisions such as Television of Republic of
Indonesia in Denpasar, Bali TV, Dewata TV, and the MMCN. Previously was Jembrana TV which was stopped
by the Broadcasting Program Commission of Bali. Jembrana TV was the most favorate TV in Bali before it
was banned and daily views was too big. The Kabupaten Negara is the most advance adminitratively or
developement in social and economic sectors compared to other 7 Kabupatens in Bali and will be expected
also the Kabupaten Karangasem will soon follow Negara. It is funny to see that the area is on the both
tip of the island. Kabupaten Negara is on the western edge of Bali and Karangasem is on the eastern tip
of the island. While in the middle there are 7 Kabupatens including one municipality of Denpasar.
Government publication in the form of yearly statistic is also available but not yet meeting the need
of professional businessmen and is good only for those local people of Bali.
