Bali island is known as good names such as thousand temples, living monument or living museum, island of gods and goddesses and the last paradise. Does prostitutes humiliates the image of Bali? In the understanding of many people yes! Prostitution and the name of Bali should be mutually exclusive, at least in the sense of public admission. Prostitution seems to have been part of society ever since the introduction of social institution in the most simplest way of life, and it has been the integrated element of social life weather it was settled or nomad. The practice of free sex seems to be originated from the most simplest life of the people, or in fact human being already given the instinct prone to do this? Despite the fact of intensive institutionalization of this physical function of human being, both before and after religion, yet almost no society in the world is free of prostitution including Bali.

The only society's leaders and religious leaders are hypocrite in facing this fact without understanding what will be the precise impact on the society in the future. Prostitution is an integral part of crime and social deviation. When member of society experienced a degree of social regulation and tradition the prostitution appears as the alternative of expressing the energy that flows disoriented or in the vulgar word following their animal instinct. It has been no strange, since the beginning prostitutes come from other islands outside Bali, and has become one of Balinese culture known by tourists. Thanks God that Balinese girls or women until very recently have not been found to involve, and although there are suspicion of Balinese women to have join this hated part of the society, it has been well known only from certain region which is by Balinese itself less respected. Until now a research on how big the percentage of participation from that part Balinese women in prostitution has not been done, and will not be done until the leaders of Bali admit the existence.

The fact that prostitution is only sigmasized for women, but a larg part can be also traced to men. Wouldn't be the prostitution is done by men and women? if it is agreed then the source of the problem is both women and men. Secondly is the religion that do not admit that prostitution is exist, although the fact it is exist. This situation will make this practice more and more flourishing, because no one knows who doing what as everything is hidden.
